I entered the RCIA program with very little background in religion.  I feel that this was almost an advantage in that I had no pre-conceived notions of what to expect from the process.  What I discovered was a truly wonderful experience that deeply affected me in ways that I cold not have imagined.  It was an opportunity to understand the history of Catholicism and the mystery of our faith.  I particularly enjoyed the discussions that focused on the scripture.  I'm amazed at how comfortable I am opening the Bible now that I have some basic understanding of how it was written.

If there was one aspect of the program that I will always cherish was the people.  I have never been around a more caring and generous group of individuals in all my life.  I'll never forget standing in front of the congregation as we were about to be initiated and seeing the look of genuine happiness on their faces.  I feel so fortunate for being able to develop a new faith as well as some meaningful relationships.
